RARE VAGRANTS

One pair of Black-backed Wagtails - Tomkinson River floodplain. Positive identification. Feeding with one Australian Pratincole for company - 18 September.

One Asian Dowitcher, Haularound Island - 20 September. Positive identification.

One Ringed Plover, Liverpool River - 20 September. Positive identification.

Two species not recorded as occurring in the Maningrida/Liverpool area were also seen. They were the Yellow-tinted Honeyeater (many pairs plain/woodland fringe) and the Painted Snipe(one only) on the Tomkinson River floodplain.
